It is a very difficult time for the family of a loved one. It is our goal at Saint Patrick to make this as easy for you and possible. The parish secretary is honored to assist you with your preparation of this special Mass.
When deciding on the details of a Mass there are some things to consider however first and foremost is the fact that this Mass is for the family and friends as much as it is for your loved one. As such, this Mass will be unique as your family is unique.
Would you desire to have the Rosary recited before Mass? It can be said the night before however with people traveling from all over, quite often it is more convenient for the Rosary to be recited before the Mass.
Do you wish to choose the readings? The family may choose Bible passages that were favorites of your loved one. We have material to assist with making the decisions should it be needed. There are a number of ways that family and friends can partake in the Mass.
Do you wish to have a musician? The office can contact a musician and give them your music choices or you may arrange with them as they will have suggestions should you need assistance.
Do you need the priest or deacon to provide a graveside service? Should you desire a resting place at the Saint Patrick Cemetery and have not previously made arrangements, please contact the office at 530.622.0373.
Receptions can be provided, if you wish, when Gurnell Hall is available. The Ladies Society of Saint Patrick has a ministry who will complete the set up and as well as clean up for you. There is a suggested donation for the supplies. Food and beverage are donated.
Any questions should be directed to the Parish secretary. Thesecretary is your ‘go to’ person so you are free to do the many other things that are needed during this most difficult time.
